Release Discriptions:

TUDOR - Ultra Black Metal Double LP
Anyone the least familiar with the dark and brutal end of old East European Metal shouldn't be a stranger to the Czech "Big Black 3": Master's Hammer, Root and Törr. If you ever wondered about what dark secrets dwelled in their midst, look no further than the town of Pilsner (how Metal is that?!) and their very own Black Thrashers Tudor. Despite their self-proclaimed "Ultra Black Metal"-status, the music of Tudor is refreshingly free of blastbeats and Donald Duckely vocals. Production wise it's about as thin and restrained as it gets without being downright crappy, but those of us in the know knows that it's the only way to go when producing cult records like these. Thanks to this, "Ultra Black Metal" should cater to fans of Thrash and Epic Metal as well as those who appreciate stuff like Mortuary Drape and the aforementioned Czech icons. The Master's Hammer-influence is particularly strong on the Zombie demo. This comes chock-full of medieval uh-ah-uhm's, plenty of thrashing guitars and epic, almost folksy melodies (see MH's "The Jilemnicke Occultist" for a good reference). The hefty riffs renders it a highlight in East-Euro Metal, almost reaching levels of Drakar- and Varvar-godliness. The Skeletor demo on the other hand is faster and more straight forward, but none the less powerful. More in the style of Törr and Root's faster moments, performed in a kind of back-alley Thrash-manner that will keep the average Metal-fan headbanging for years to come. (Nuclear War Now #27)

HEATHEN HOOF - Promo 2004 cassette
Heathen Hoof from Finland plays traditional heavy metal in the style of Cloven Hoof, Witchfynde, early Iron Maiden and the like. This tape contains their two demos with total playing time of about 20 minutes. Nuclear War Now! will release their 12" EP later this year. (Nuclear War Now #24)

SNAKEPIT #14 magazine
Metal magazine that we got from Nuclear War Now Records. For those who are interested to read it (around 90 pages with colored cover entirely written in English) and features past, present and future Metal heroes such as ANVIL CHORUS, BRATS, CRYSTAL KNIGHT, DEAF DEALER, DESTRUCTION, FATE, GUTRIX, FARSCAPE, LABEL SPECIAL (MEGAFORCE), MERCYFUL FATE, MORDRED, ONSLAUGHT, PARIAH, POSSESSED, SATAN, SLAUTER XSTROYES, SOLDIER, STRATTSON, TROUBLE, TYGERS OF PANTANG and last but not least Danish ZOSER MEZ which is part of a huge feature with Mr Hank Shermann! Where else can you find filled with nothing but PURE MOLTEN Metal interviews!? If you miss the awesome early days of Metal Forces, Whiplash or Kick Ass Monthly, when you could discover promising, exciting new acts and read about mysterious past heroes, then be sure this last issue of snakepit will fullfill your hunger! (Snakepit #14)

BLACK GOAT - Black Goat CD
Black Goat has been lurking in the shadows of San Francisco since the early 90's while only releasing one demo in 1998. Never getting the proper attention from the underground black metal scene, they still managed to stay together for over 10 years. Black Goat plays black metal with solid riffs reminiscent of the glory days of Bay Area thrash metal scene. The CD contains their only recording from 1997. (Nuclear War Now #23)

DOOM SNAKE CULT - Love Sorrow Doom LP
Do you like Goatlord from Las Vegas? Do you like morbid black doom metal influenced by LSD and occultism? This album is one of those classics that people never talk about. Love Sorrow Doom was originally released back in 1993 by JL America on CD and cassette only and buried by time and dust until now! I was fortunate enough to get in touch with their vocalist Ace Still and get permission to press it on vinyl LP. The layout and track listings have been fixed. The original CD layout was one of the ugliest things ever! This could be the reason why it didn't do so well back then. For those of you not familiar with the band, Doom Snake Cult was a post Goatlord project with Ace Still on vocals. Their sound can be compared to early Goatlord mixed with classic doom metal like Saint Vitus and Pentagram. Just imagine Quorthon like vocals over psychedelic doom metal and you have Doom Snake Cult. 800 copies were pressed on green/yellow splatter vinyl with poster and insert. (Nuclear War Now! #22)

WITCHES HAMMER - Witches Hammer 7"
Vancouver's favorite sons of Canadian Speed Metal Hell has spawned yet another classic slab of black gold. The 7" contains two tracks of high quality speed metal attacks from the grave. Those who still worship at the alter of old Slayer, Exodus, Sodom, and Kreator will not be disappointed. Goth wimps and norsecore black metal nerds should stay away as this is way too much metal for you. (Nuclear War Now #21)

IMPURITY - Guests of the Infernal Pit 7"
Impurity plays raw Brazilian black metal in the tradition of Sarcofago, Beherit, Sextrash, and Blasphemy. The raw recording contained on this 7" is a window to Impurity's early days. The 7" was originally planned to be released by Maggot Records which also released the classic "XXX" 7" by Sextrash. Unfortunately, the label dissolved before the 7" saw the light of day and it sat in Impurity's Temple for 13 years. A deal was made in 2003 to finally release the 7" on Nuclear War Now! Productions. The layout ideas came virtually unchanged directly from the original mock-ups done in 1991. All band photos were taken at the Bonfim Cemetery made famous by Sarcofago's early promo photos. All copies were pressed on heavy vinyl and come in full color gatefold jackets. To ensure a supremely violent listening experience nothing was altered from the original master recording. You've been warned! (Nuclear War Now! #19)

PROCREATION - Incantations of Demonic Lust For Corpses of The Fallen CD
This is the CD version of the LP containing their two demos from 90 and 91. Procreation from Vancouver, Canada gathered in 1989 with the intent of unleashing an all out black/death metal assault on surrounding areas. The spree of violence continued well into the next decade with Procreation being laid to rest in 1993. Once the smoke cleared two demo tapes were left behind. The first "Rebirth Into Evil" was recorded in 1990 with the "Coming Of Hate" demo following in 1991. The LP, containing both demos, was pressed on 180 gram heavy vinyl and includes a gatefold jacket, insert and poster. (Nuclear War Now #17 CD)

V/A - Outbreak of Evil 7" compilation
Vomitor, Toxic Holocaust, Bestial Mockery, and Nocturnal. This is a repress of an out of print 7" originally limited to 500 copies on Witching Metal Records. Joel Grind was kind enough to let me repress it using his stampers and film so it looks exactly like the original version. All bands on this compilation plays thrashing metal in the 80's way. All recordings are exclusive to this release only. Vomitor probably has the best track here with a rawer 4 track version of a song from their LP. The Toxic Holocaust track is in their usual toxic thrash metal style reminiscent of old Kreator and Onslaught. Bestial Mockery attacks with a more black death styled song and Noctural sounds like they could've played with Sodom and Destruction back in the mid 80's. (Nuclear War Now #20)

TERRORAMA - Horrid Efface LP
Terrorama from Sweden plays old school blacking deathrash like Merciless, Sadus, Holy Terror and Vulcano. All LPs were pressed on 180 gram vinyl and comes with gatefold jacket, printed innersleeve and poster. (Nuclear War Now #18)

ASUNDER - A Clarion Call LPx2
Five long years since their debut ep, Oakland, CA's doom death metal act Asunder finally returns with their debut full length, "A Clarion Call". A staggering progression from their early days, they deliver a trilogy of epic dirges. Bleak, grand, suffocating, and vast, the seeming contradictions only help serve to enhance the journey and depth of the mantra. Recorded with doomlord Billy Anderson with the expected 'thick and heavy as fuck' sound you can expect! This 3 sided double LP comes in a 3 fold gatefold jacket with a hand done etching on the 4th side of the vinyl, and comes with poster. Pressed on heavy weight vinyl. (Nuclear War Now #16)

PROCREATION - Incantations of Demonic Lust For Corpses of The Fallen LP
Procreation from Vancouver, Canada gathered in 1989 with the intent of unleashing an all out black/death metal assault on surrounding areas. The spree of violence continued well into the next decade with Procreation being laid to rest in 1993. Once the smoke cleared two demo tapes were left behind. CULT OF DAATH - Razor War 7"
Cult of Daath from Chicago plays old school black metal influenced by Hellhammer, Bathory, Necrovore, VON and the like. The 7" ep comes in a nice sleeve printed with silver ink on black paper and includes a 11" x 17" poster. Limited to 700 copies on black vinyl. (Nuclear War Now #3)

VON - Satanic Blood Angel CD
VON is credited as one of the first modern black metal bands from the late 1980's/early 1990's. The CD contains their two demos from 1990 and 1991 plus a live set from 1991. Officially licensed from the band. (Nuclear War Now #11)

WITCHES HAMMER - Canadian Speed Metal LP
I think the LP title says it all... Witches Hammer plays Canadian speed metal in the style of Metal Blade era Slayer, Exciter, Sacrifice and Slaughter. The LP contains their two demos from 1986 and 1987. (Nuclear War Now #12)

REVENGE - Triumph.Genocide.Antichrist LP picture disc
Revenge plays grinding war black metal in the tradition of bands like Blasphemy and Conqueror. The picture disk comes with printed jacket, insert and poster. Officially licensed from Osmose Productions France. The outer sleeve is all black with a silver skull/upside down cross on the front cover. (Nuclear War Now #14)

SARCOFAGO - I.N.R.I. LP picture disc
Released in 1987 on Cogumelo records Brazil, "I.N.R.I." has stood the test of time and is considered one of the milestones in the black/death metal genre. Nuclear War Now is proud to present this old classic on picture disk format with a 20 page 12" X 12" booklet. The booklet contains many ancient photos from the infamous cemetery photo session as well as old interviews, discography, bio and lyrics. Any fans of old Brazilian death metal should own this album.
