AARITILA - ...Ennen Huomista... CD
Finnish/Swedish project from members of Totalitar, Meanwhile, Riistetyt and a host of others. Exactly what you'd think this would amount to: Straight ahead Scandinavian hardcore. "No metal, no funk, no death. Just plain Discharge type hardcore just the way it was meant to be." (Feral Ward #52)

AARITILA - ...Ennen Huomista... LP

AI - The Sounds of Hearts LP
Blazing fast, frantic and furious japanese hardcore from the southernmost island of Kyushu. The A-side is the studio side of their 2000 "A Hope on the Concrete" LP while the B-side is the 1998 ep "Arming Rebellion With The Sound of Hearts". (Feral Ward Records #62)

ARCTIC FLOWERS - Procession LP
Five new songs from Portland's Arctic Flowers featuring members of Defect Defect, Deathreat, Talk Is Poison and Signal Lost. Picking up where their LP on Inimical left off, Arctic Flowers returns with more gloomy anarcho-goth punk songs full of moody hooks, catchy riffs and haunting female vocals. Recorded at Howl Studios and mastered at Mammoth Sound. Arctic Flowers just returned from an East Coast tour. (Feral Ward/Arctic Flowers #2)

BORN DEAD ICONS - Modern Plague 7"
Born Dead Icons are cruising town with a dark and heavy sounding rumble that is influenced by both Motorhead and Amebix. Four tracks of harsh sounding hardcore that is powerful and depressing sounding. (G.A.S.R/Witch Hunt #8)

CALL THE POLICE - 1984 In 2003 CD
Here we have a post-humous realease by this Portland, OR punk band. Female fronted hardcore punk with a lot of cool melodies, similar to Burning Kitchen, mixed with some more UK sounding punk influences like Varukers, or Vice Squad. Yet another band with members of Tragedy... and also some ex-members of Run For Your Fucking Life. Great. (Feral Ward #18)

COMPLICATIONS - s/t LP
Recorded in 2007 and only now released. Dark and brooding, thick, dense, tense and layered, taking cues from Killing Joke and New Model Army yet retaining traits of their Born Dead Icons past. Gets better with every listen. Definitely a grower not a shower. (Feral Ward #50)

CRIMINAL DAMAGE - No Solution CD
This Portland, OR band plays punk rock akin to No Hope For The Kids. Sounding something like a very early '80s English punk band that would have had a release on No Future Records, such as Attack. Melodic punk rock with rough vocals that sound almost too slow. Criminal Damage features the drummer of Tragedy playing guitar in Criminal Damage. (Feral Ward Records #43)

CRUDE - 1999 LP
Crude's been around since 1995 and have come to define the 'hakodate sound'; Melodic and layered japanese hardcore played with heart and drive. This LP precedes 'Attitude', originally released in 1999, sold out soon thereafter, and now available again. (Feral Ward #55)

DEATH SIDE - Bet on the Possibility LP
(The pressing sold out already, and we have very limited quantities thus these will sell out immediately. Yes, they are expensive due to band royalties.) Second LP from Japan's DEATH SIDE reissued officially! Never mind those shit euro bootlegs, these are top-quality legitimate reissues. Legendary Japanese hardcore at its best. No long-winded glamorizing write-up needed. 800 pressed. (Feral Ward Records #77)

DEATH SIDE - Wasted Dream LP
(The pressing sold out already, and we have very limited quantities thus these will sell out immediately. Yes, they are expensive due to band royalties.) The debut LP from Japan's one and only DEATH SIDE has finally received a proper US reissue - Never mind those shit euro bootlegs, these are top-quality legitimate reissues. Legendary Japanese hardcore at its best. No long-winded glamorizing write-up needed. 800 pressed. "Death Side is the greatest hardcore punk band in Japan. They prefer to remain enigmas, hardly ever consenting to do interviews. Yet their popularity has grown tremendously in Japan over time ... the four members of Death Side have been converting 100 energy into a pure hardcore explosion while continually adding to their music, mutating and progressing into a beast of their own. (Feral Ward Records #76)

DEATHCHARGE - Bad Dream Forever LP
A golden dawnrazor for the new dark age! DEATHCHARGE returns with their second 12" masterpiece for UNSEEN FORCES. Eschewing both redundancy and the predictable pitfalls of false progression, A. Void and the funeral horde push through to strange new frontiers. Gone is the d-beat worship of their earliest incarnations as a bleak melodic dirge emerges from the rubble of the micro/macro apocalypse. Slice wide the curtain of night and watch the entrails of a bad dream spill out...forever. Deathrock is dead! Long live DEATHCHARGE!. (Feral Ward/Unseen Forces Records #8)

GORILLA ANGREB - discography CD
It includes the Bedre Tider 12", split 7" with Lokum, the first 7", the 'Long Island' 7" and the 'Aborted 2000' 7". Seventeen tracks in total of X inspired punk rock. Great stuff. (Feral Ward #30 CD)

HAZARD/FIGHTBACK - split LP
FINALLY !! The vinyl version from Hiroshima's BLOODSUCKER RECORDS CD is out! For those who're not familiar with these two Tokyo Hard Core bands, FIGHTBACK play fast and angry hardcore, that reminds me of Bastard's DEAR COPS! 5 slaughtering hardcore assaults for them, including a Discharge cover that you can guess from their band name. The band has an amazing pedigree including Tokurow from Bastard / Judgement and Ironfist Tatsushima (G.I.S.M., Crow, Die You Bastard!, etc...) on this record. HAZARD is a longtime running Punk Hardcore band, delivering primitive bursts of chaos and aggression since 1991! Check their new record "Punk Addict" on Bloodsucker! (Bloodsucker Records/Kick Rock)

KIELTOLAKI - Kuoleva Systeemi 7"
Brand new, 4-song EP released for this Finnish band's recent US tour. Kieltolaki's previous LP was one of my favorite records of last year, and this EP picks up right where that monster left off. The production here is huge, taking the template established by Discharge's "Why?" album and making it bigger, louder, faster, and more complex. More importantly, though, this thing is just brimming with anger... I think these guys may be the most pissed-sounding band in hardcore today. Fucking ripping. (Feral Ward Records #74)

KIELTOLAKI - Vapauden Illuusio LP
Blazing, powerful, relentless and simple hardcore. No schtick, no gimmick, just aggression. Their second LP. They now have 2 LPs and 1 7" on Feral Ward. The first LP is sold out but the 7" is still available. (Feral Ward Records #87)

KRIG I HUDRIK - s/t 7"
Members of Totalitar doing lots of old Swedish punk covers plus a few originals. (Feral Ward #60)

KVOTERINGEN - Samshällets Forrädäre LP
Raw swedish hardcore ripper akin to Meanwhile or Totalitar, with who Kvoteringen share members. (Feral Ward Records #61)

KYLMA SOTA - 10 Tracks LP
We finally got this one in stock. Under the radar release from Feral Ward. This is basically THE perfect "d-beat" record of 2010, almost rendering their (really good) 7" from a couple of years back obsolete. Avoiding the clichés of raw-aaargh-crasher-whatever-myspace-sloppy-crust mess that's all too popular these days, Kylmä Sota take cues from Disclose but still sounds crisp and precise. Distortion aplenty that never gets in the way of song writing and execution. To top it all off, they throw in a cover of "If Tomorrow Don't Comes" from the criminally underrated Evance, adding their own twist by singing it in Finnish. Perkele! (Feral Ward #67)

LEBENDEN TOTEN - Near Dark CD
Evasive Portland via Japan noisecore on its second full-length. CD includes the sold out Death Culture Deprivation 8" and Poison Wave 7". Eighteen tracks in total. Not for the faint of heart. (Feral Ward #58)

LOKUM - s/t LP
Lokum had a split with Gorilla Angreb a while back. Armageddon label did that. From the same session. Features Peter from Amde Petersens Arme, Gorilla Angreb, Peter Bonneman. (Hjernespind Records)

MASSHYSTERI - s/t CD
A more mature, sophisticated 2nd CD. They've added a second guitar, upped the vocal harmonies, intensified the mood, and got a great recording. An older, wiser version of their former selves as the Vicious, still not straying too far from their scandinavian fellows Gorilla Angreb but clearly forging their own sound. (Feral Ward Records #69 CD)

MASSHYSTERI - Var Del Av Stan - CD
First full-length from these swedish usual suspects. Somber, happy, desparate and composed punk-lite that's fresh amidst today's currents. Given this, Gorilla Angreb isn't an unwarranted marker even if Masshysteri has a sound and approach of its own. On tour everywhere soon. (Feral Ward #57)

MEANWHILE - Reality or Nothing LP/CD
First LP release since 1999, Meanwhile never wavered from the trademark heavy hardcore that sweden, and themselves as part of the old-guard, are known for. 14 songs (as usual) of (as usual) loud, proud, uncompromising hardcore. This is the band at their rawest and most aggressive. Members were/are also in: Totalitar, Disfear, No Security, Imperial Leather, Burning Kitchen, Kvoteringen, Aaritila, Krigshot, Dischange, Varukers, etc, etc. Heavy tip-on sleeves. (Feral Ward #15)

MEANWHILE - Remaining Right: Silence LP
Meanwhile's first release, this CD-only album from 1994, put to vinyl. Mean, in-your-face heavy hardcore recorded at Sunlight by Tomas Skogsberg and Dismember's Fred Estby. Members were/are also in: Totalitar, Disfear, No Security, Imperial Leather, Burning Kitchen, Kvoteringen, Aaritila, Krigshot, Dischange, Varukers, etc, etc. Heavy tip-on sleeves. (Feral Ward #17)

MEANWHILE - The Road To Hell LP
Classic swedish d-beat. Period. No frills, just angry bare-bones hardcore that takes the Discharge formula and runs with it. If you own one record in the genre, this should be it. Members were/are also in: Totalitar, Disfear, No Security, Imperial Leather, Burning Kitchen, Kvoteringen, Aaritila, Krigshot, Dischange, Varukers, etc, etc. Heavy tip-on sleeves. (Feral Ward #16)

MORNE - Untold Wait CD
First full-length from this Boston crust outfit. Don't let the tired designation fool you though. This is a slick, well-produced mix of Neurosis ambience and Axegrinder churn. Heavy, brooding and venomous. (Feral Ward #63 CD)

MORNE - Untold Wait LP
First full-length from this Boston crust outfit. Don't let the tired designation fool you though. This is a slick, well-produced mix of Neurosis ambience and Axegrinder churn. Heavy, brooding and venomous. (Feral Ward #63)

NEWTOWN NEUROTICS - Hypocrite 7"
If there was a vote for the best lyrical content in the 80s Punk songs, Steve Drewett of Newtown Neurotics would probably have blown everyone out of the water with his sharp to the point lyrics about the socio-political situation in the UK back during the Thatcherism. That aside, Newtown Neurotics were one of the best UK Punk bands of the second Punk wave. "Hypocrite / You Said No" was their first release from 1979. (Feral Ward Records #86)

SELFISH - Cause Pain LP
Now available on both LP and CD. New release from Finland's finest. More traditional Japanese hardcore rocking influenced punk. Maybe even better than their last LP. Great. (Feral Ward #8)

SELFISH - Life Has No Vacant Time LP
Finnish style debauchery put to vinyl. Selfish has existed since 1989. Over the years their sound has changed from raw, d-beat crust akin to Doom and Extreme Noise Terror, to skilled and intricate, Burning Spirits styled hardcore, heavily influenced by Death Side and so many other Japanese bands. (Feral Ward Records #71)

SUNSHINE WARD - Order LP
Sunshine ward is a Hardcore, punk band from Boston, MA who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. Sunshine Ward features members of Brainkiller and Forced Order and the band plays a vicious and blistering style of stripped down hardcore, punk, and d-beat. Musically, Sunshine Ward can be loosely compared to bands such as Green Beret, Totalitar, Chaos UK, and Savageheads. Since their inception in 2014, Sunshine Ward have released a five song demo in May of 2014 and appeared on the Cream Of The Crop compilation. Order is the band's debut ten song LP, which was released via Feral Ward records on March 26th, 2016. On Order, Sunshine Ward offer up ten songs of raw and stripped down hardcore, punk, d-beat. Overall, Order is a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy! (Feral Ward Records #88)

TRAGEDY - Darker Days Ahead CD
The vinyl version has been delayed due to mastering problems, but we received the CD today. The 4th album from this well respected DIY hardcore band that features ex-members of His Hero Is Gone, From Ashes Rise, Copout, Severed Head of State, Call The Police, Criminal Damage, Deathreat, Well Away, Uranus, etc, etc... The CD comes in a unique heavy paper 6 panel case. (Tragedy #6)

TRAGEDY - 1st CD
From the ashes of His Hero Is Gone and Deathreat comes Tragedy. This debut LP is as good, if not better, than anything that His Hero Is Gone or Deathreat ever released. The songs are exactly what you would expect, with the addition of some fantastic melodic elements. One of the best records I have heard this year, these ten songs are destined to be classics; "The Intolerable Weight" has an extremely catchy chorus, while "The Point of No Return" has a classic ending. A truly great record. Really awesome. (Tragedy Records)

TRAGEDY - Darker Days Ahead LP
Finally, after a long delay the US pressing of Tragedy's new LP is finally released!! The 4th album from this well respected DIY hardcore band that features ex-members of His Hero Is Gone, From Ashes Rise, Copout, Severed Head of State, Call The Police, Criminal Damage, Deathreat, Well Away, Uranus, etc, etc... The legendary Tragedy. (Tragedy #6)

TRAGEDY - Nerve Damage LP
"Nerve Damage" is undoubtedly the most anticipated release from any DIY hardcore band for 2006. Tragedy's long awaited 3rd LP is a powerhouse of melody, brooding darkness, and hard hitting d-beat hardcore. Ten tracks. Tragedy is one of the most well known and well respected hardcore DIY hardcore bands currently dragging their asses all over the world to play punk gigs. "Nerve Damage" does not disappoint. Ex-members of His Hero Is Gone, From Ashes Rise, Copout, Severed Head of State, Call The Police, Criminal Damage, Deathreat, Well Away, Uranus, etc. (Tragedy #5)

TRAGEDY - Vengeance LP
Tragedy's first LP was an awesome record filled with powerful and melodic hardcore served with a dark underbelly of brooding atmosphere. Vengence is equally as powerful, melodic, and brooding 2nd LP. Twelve new songs to infect the world with their ideology and musical vision. (Tragedy Records #3)

TRAUMA - s/t LP
Finally repressed after being sold out for nearly a year. Trauma features the singer from early '80s Portland hardcore band Final Warning on vocals, along with Billy from Tragedy/Deathreat/His Hero is Gone/From Ashes Rise on guitar, and Todd from Tragedy/His Hero Is Gone/Deathreat/Warcry on drums. They play raging Portland hardcore that can be compates to a more raw and stripped down Deathreat. (Feral Ward #75)

WARCRY - Maniacs On Pedestals CD
CD version now available. Portland's Warcry are back with 15 tracks of Discharge influenced d-beat hardcore played Swedish style. Warcry features members of Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, Hellschock, Remains of The Day, and Bacteria so you know the quality is top notch. CD version will be out some time soon. (Feral Ward #21)

WARCRY - Not So Distant Future CD
Bulldozer heavy hardcore again on this 3rd LP. Warcry doesn't deviate. 10 songs of modern Discharge/Meanwhile influenced punk from members of Tragedy, His Hero is Gone, Hellshock, Talk is Poison, Estranged, etc, etc. (Feral Ward #51)
