N.Y. based Artificial Brain has come out of nowhere with a masterpiece debut of intricate, twisted dark death metal. BLACK WIZARD - Young Wisdom LP
Indulging in the timeless riffary of bands from the late 70's, it is clear that Vancouver's BLACK WIZARD knows what made these acts so loved and influential over all these years. Rather than replicating them entirely, The Wiz combine a unique blend of 70's groove rock & doom with an arena-like fullness that far surpasses the often tripe "stoner rock" affiliation. BORROWED TIME - s/t LP
Long awaited debut studio full length from Detroit's newest traditional metal heavyweights. BT Formed in 2010, choosing their name as a tribute to legendary N.W.O.B.H.M. band Diamond Head. After a standout debut single and performance at the prestigious Keep It True 2013 festival in Germany, BT inked a deal with German Label High Roller Records who recently released Arcane Metal Arts LP, a teaser compilation of live tracks and demos which included a now-cult cover of Manilla Road Necropolis. DBC - Dead Brain Cells LP
Re-issue of the debut LP from Montreal's thrashers DBC. Produced by Randy Burns (Nuclear Assault) and originall released on Combat, Dead Brain Cells is tight yet raw uptempo crossover thrash, falling appropriately somewhere between Voivod and Sacrifice. Long over due vinyl re-issue, limited pressing of 1000 copies on classic black wax. (War on Music #19)

DBC - Universe LP
Re-issue of DBC's sophmore release, Universe is an instant classic, complex self-proclaimed Brain Metal, a concept album exploring nothing less than the origins and desitny of the cosmos. Definitely an evolution from the previous release, Universe strikes a more mature, methodical sound, slightly slower, and leaning more towards the Voivod corner of the Canadian thrash spectrum. ENTRAILS - Tales From The Morgue LP (gatefold)
Recently signed to Metal Blade, Sweden's Entrails formed in the '90s, but split up before they were able to release a demo or even an album. It took them until 2008 to come back when guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist rediscovered some old tapes and released a demo in 2009. Soon after, Entrails recorded and released their debut album Tales From The Morgue, in 2010. A literally Skullcrushing debut of proper classic Swedish Death Metal, it instantly achieved worldwide attention and went quickly out of print. GORGUTS - Vol 3 ...And Then Comes Lividity LP + 7"
A series of demo tapes from the Obscura era, nearly an hour of insane avant-garde raw death metal spread out over a 12" LP + 7". Tapes from 1993, 1994 and 1995 containing astonishing versions of most of the material that would eventually comprise the Obscura album. HIRAX - Not Dead Yet LP (gatefold)
Total Cult LA Speed Metal from Katon and Crew!! First 2 Hirax Albums (Raging Violence 1985 / Hate Fear & Power 1986) together in full on one LP! The legendary Hirax were an influential group in the Los Angeles thrash/speed metal movement of the mid '80's, performing alongside the ranks of heavyweights of METALLICA and MEGADETH in their early days. Originally released by Metal Blade in 1987, the Raging Violence/Hate Fear & Power combo sums up perfectly the raw energy and vicious metal force that Hirax was, and remains today. Progressive / melodic death metal with impressive technical stylings and dangerously infectious hooks. Into Eternity's signature sound is a metal hybrid which is often difficult to classify. Seamless interplay between clean and death vocals, virtuosic guitar shreds leading into simple and appropriate rhythmic death metal riffs, precise and extreme drumming right up front in the mix. Often compared to later era a Death or Control Denied meets Dream Theatre, but Into Eternity have a much more song oriented approach then most bands of their musical caliber. Continuing the progression of the previous 2 records, Feeding the Abscess really takes Death Metal to a level previously unachieved, incorporating distinct elements of well schooled Jazz-shred, pushing even the boundaries of avante-garde technical music. MARTYR - Hopeless Hopes LP
Martyr's long hailed 1997 debut. Intricate & advanced Death Metal, the brainchild of Canadian metal-legend Daniel Mongrain (GORGUTS, VOIVOD). WAY ahead of its time. Sound of Perserverance-era DEATH is an accurate point of comparison to Hopeless Hopes-era Martyr. Disciplined rhythms, classy uber-competent lead work, and even a Shuldiner-esque vocal approach from Mongrain. Hopeless Hopes was instantly received as a masterwork by world class musicians, and played an important role in helping shape the extreme spectrum of the genre which would emerge over the following years. MARTYR - Warp Zone LP
Martyr's sophomore release (2000), a fan favorite often regarded as their best album. Early technical death metal, Warp Zone is a monster beyond its years. Main project of Daniel Mongrain (GORGUTS, VOIVOD), Warp Zone was an obvious advance from the already world class achievement that was Hopeless Hopes, taking the sound to an avante-garde level of composition and musicianship. RAZOR - Open Hostility LP
Tight heavy speed thrash from the Canadian masters, Open Hostilitywas the last record from Razor's classic era. The high intensity is here again from start to finish! - the complex structures of 'Custom Killing' are combined with the dense riffs and fierce vocals of 'Shotgun Justice' to produce yet another different, but typical, Razor album! SACRIFICE - 198666 LPx2
Double LP complete demo anthology. Includes the legendary ìExorcismî demo tape (featuring tracks which would later be included on ìTorment In Fireî), the 1986 ìForward To Terminationî demo sessions (including a rare cover of DISCHARGE's ìPossibility Of Life's Destructionî), and the full 1989 ìSoldiers Of Misfortuneî demo sessions. This is some of the best early recordings of any classic thrash act; the tapes sum up the raw power that was early SACRIFICE and showcase the bands evolution from album to album through the '80s. SACRIFICE - Forward to Termination LP (limited edition picture disc)
(We were only able to get 25 copies, so once sold out we canít get more.) Second release from this legendary Canadian Thrash Metal band, Forward to Termination is another absolute classic! One of the best thrash records to EVER come out of Canada. A tighter sound, defintiely matured from the first release, yet still pure and straight forward. Timeless songs with a blistering rhythm section, shredding guitars and agonizing wails, Forward To Termination is generally regarded as the essential Sacrifice LP. Hand numbered picture disc version limited to 500 copies. (War on Music #11)

SACRIFICE - Soldiers of Misfortune LP (limited edition picture disc)
(We were only able to get 25 copies, so once sold out we canít get more.) Soldiers of Misfortune, the renowned third album from legendary thrashers SACRIFICE, available for the first time EVER on vinyl. One of Canada's first, and arguably all around best, pure thrash metal bands, Soldiers of Misfortune is a fan favourite, largely underacknowleged in the shadow of the first 2 classic releases. Soldiers of Misfortune picks up the sound of the previous album, maintaining the maturity & technicaltiy, while crafting a set of songs even more memorable and timeless than on Forward To Termination .
